Employment

The employment team undertakes all aspects of employment law including advising on employment contracts and compromise agreements.  Members of Chambers regularly appear for Claimants and Respondents in the ET and EAT, a number of which have been reported in the Law Reports.

The team are recognised for equality and discrimination law.  As of 1st February 2011, Ceri Widdett, Steven White, Catherine Knowles and Afshan Nadeem have been appointed by the European Human Rights Commission to their preferred panel of Counsel.  Catherine Knowles was appointed as Junior "Counsel to the Crown (Regional Panel) 2010-2015"

Since 2004, team members have frequently been cited in the Legal 500 as recommended in employment and discrimination law.  Chambers & Partners 2011 cites team leader Ceri Widdett as a notable junior in employment law who is "a solicitor's favourite" and "is always on top of a case and has a very clear understanding of the law."
