Chambers & Partners 2010:
"Forty-five criminal barristers, ranging from heavy-weight silks right down to recently call juniors, are on hand at Park Court Chambers, Leeds. Together they tackle all manner of criminal work from murder, sexual offences and drug cases to fraud and terrorism matters, handling all with "great skills and sensitivity."
General crime
A large diverse and representative team of criminal barristers which includes 45 barristers ranging from some of the most eminent and highly regarded silks in the country to very junior barristers handling both defence and prosecution cases. We are confident that the crime team can provide suitable barristers for any given criminal case.
Whilst there is a bias towards “heavyweight” crime (homicide, serious sexual offences, major drug related offences and operations, terrorism), Chambers undertakes work at all levels of seriousness and at all stages of the proceedings.
Specialist representation is available for linked and ancillary proceedings such as confiscation/proceeds of crime and judicial review.
Instructions are received to advise (including on a pro bono basis) and provide representation solely at the appellate stage.
Fraud
Within the criminal team there are a significant number of barristers who can be described as specialist fraud practitioners (some of whom are leaders in this field). Again representation is available at all levels of seniority including for ancillary proceedings (in particular confiscation/proceeds of crime).
You will find the crime team barristers friendly, helpful and professional in their approach. If you need to speak to a criminal barrister please contact the dedicated criminal clerking team on 0113 243 3277.
