He is the Criminal Law Review Cases Editorand Editorial Advisor for Blackstones Criminal Practice. David is the author of numerous journal articles and is editor of Smith and Hogan, Criminal Law (11th ed 2005) and Smith and Hogan Cases and Materials on Criminal Law (9th ed 2005). He lectures regularly to the judiciary and the profession
