Contract and Commercial

Chambers has substantial experience in this work, and the team comprises practitioners at all levels of seniority, practising in the County Court and the High Court and undertaking non-contentious drafting work.   Chambers deals with ‘straight’ contractual work as well as work revolving around statute or regulation.   Specific areas include carriage of goods, building contracts in the standard forms and partnership disputes.   Chambers also deals with commercial fraud, including interlocutory asset recovery work. A proactive approach is encouraged, with counsel becoming involved at an early stage and advising upon interlocutory and procedural steps to maximize the prospects of recovery as well as on substantive issues.   Chambers has the expertise to deal with jurisdictional issues, both international and internal and is familiar with all forms of ADR.

The civil clerks are Moira Paxton and Janet Jackson, either of whom will be pleased to give you further information.
