Prison Law

Park Court Barristers Chambers has a long-established Prison Law team consisting of barristers who are highly experienced in all areas and at all levels of Prison Law work:

  • Adjudications;
  • Parole Board Hearings (including applications for recategorisation, release and recall of hearings following breach of licence conditions relating to lifers, determinate and indeterminate sentence prisoners);
  • Judicial Review (including JR of Parole Board paper decisions and decisions arising out of oral hearings and the application of Prison Service Orders and Prison Service Instructions);
  • Applications for habeus corpus;
  • Representations to the Prisons Ombudsman;
  • Representations to the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal in respect of deportation hearings;
  • Coroner's Inquests relation to deaths in prison and police custody.
